Walk away zone

In the past few years I have lived so many different things on an emotional level and did not really know how to deal with these.
I am a person that cries for everything; I cry when I am happy, when I am sad and for toilet paper adds on TV( you get the picture).

What I always had trouble dealing with is knowing when to stop the pain.
In any situation in life, when do you know when it's enough and that you just have to walk away.

At work? When all goes wrong and it keeps you from sleeping when you work the next morning.

In love? When you don't know if you should go on or not.

With friends? How do you know when they are just bad for you or just take advantage of you.

With family? This is a hard one, when do you know you did all you could but that the pain it brings you is just too much and that you have to walk away.

I am sure all of you faced to a point or another one or more of these situations, so when did you decided and why that you just hit the walk away zone?
How did you deal with it?

I went through that recently actually! I think I finally weighed it out and thought can I go on like this for the rest of my life? The answer was a resounding no. That made the scariness of making a life change a little bit easier.

Hey sweetie. Is something bothering you? I hope you are alright. I tend to be a passionate person. Walking away from something is so hard to do. It takes a lot to get me to walk away from something, especially if it is something I really love. Just recently I have decided to finally walk away from something that's been giving me a major heartache. Sure I cried it out, but then I've come to realize that I am finally happy with not having to be troubled by this certain something. =) I hope you too will learn when to walk away from something. =) Have a nice weekend

the walk away zone is the HARDEST thing ever! I have such a tough time with this.

on another note, I got your card and it literally made me cry. Thank you so much for being so thoughtful. You are the sweetest person ever!

i like this entry. i have trouble with that too. sometimes it's unclear whether to walk away or not. I agree with Mel above, though...if something is giving you heartache, it's probably best to walk away.

i actually had the misfortune of everything blowing up in my face before i was able to walk away from a situation that i needed to get out of. it was so much more emotionally "damaging" for it to end out of my control. i wish that i had walked away while i could still have control of the outcome. does this make sense? setting boundaries is very important! you need to protect yourself!
