I got screwed

This is what happens when you shop too fast Christmas eve... you dont take time to look at what you buy, try only one of the 2 gloves on to see if they fit and once your home you end up with this...

MJ's discovery

I am completely stuck on this song from Orianthi, MJ's last discovery before dying.
It makes me smile, it makes me want to dance, it makes me want to sing!

Technology

My holidays are over (bouhou), it is back to reality tomorrow morning :(
As I am prepping myself for this, I realized how much technology is in our lives.
Let me paint you a picture of what I see at this moment.

I am sitting in front of my laptop trying to sync music on both my itouch and my ishuffle. My boyfriend to my left is sitting on the couch with his laptop on his lap and watching HD hockey on his big tv. I look to his left and I see the 4 remote controls for TV, blue ray player, cable, ect... then I look down a little and see his new playstation; all of that while wondering if my cell phone is charged enough.

Are we really addicted to all this technology? I believe I am.
The first and last thing I do everyday is go on the internet.

What about you? How badly are you addicted to technology?

Matchmaker

Have you ever been a matchmaker without knowing you were one?

Well after a few nights of having people over for dinner and hockey games in the past weeks...my sister and one of my friends hit it off.
They've been seeing each other lots and she even met his mom.

They've both went through similar things in their past relationships and I think it might work for them.

The only thing I wish is to never be in the middle and never have to choose.

I'll keep you posted if it becomes official ;)

A little closer

Yesterday was the first official winter day , even if we've had snow for the past few weeks and really cold weather. It is a period of the year that is very dark and depressive, lots of people don't have their spirits high the holidays. We all miss the sunlight and warm weather.

But it also was the shortest day of the year!!!
As of today the days will only get longer and bring us back a little closer to summer.
I know the worst of winter is still to come in the next few months, but hey it cant hurt to be positive a little :)

I got my bathing suit and my flip flops ready!

Belated birthday

Last night D took me to Alegria as my belated birthday gift.

I had never went to see a circus show before and especially not a show from Cirque du Soleil. Al taught I have a fear of clowns, they made me laugh more than once.

Some of the acts were very impressive. You can tell that these people are not only performers, but artists as well.

I loved the indoors snow storm (even if I hate snow)

The music was great very appropriate to the show and sound was good. The woman that sings has an amazing voice, at first I was sure she was lip-singing, but no she just has this incredible voice. When the Alegria song played at the end I was just so overwhelmed I had a few tears. (yeah I've been very emotional lately)

I would say I have only 2 negative things to say about the show: people that don't f***ing get there on time and the delays between each act.

Over all it was fabulous! Sorry pictures were forbidden.

PS Now I wanna go see KA in Las Vegas (go see the preview)

Saturday's hot guy #10

As suggested by Andhari here is Ian Somerhalder.

Born in Covington Louisiana in December 1978. He has a brother and a sister. His family was touched very badly by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and never recovered some of their belongings. I tried to find if he has someone in his life but all I seem to find is gossip about him and Ashley Greene.

Happy Friday, Happy holidays!

As of 1 pm today I will be on vacation for 10 freaking days!!!

I so deserve those days off, I just cant wait.

I promise myself to try to catch up on sleep, to try to sleep in at least one day till noon, to make pancakes , to make a snowman (maybe) and to relax.

We have no big plans for the holidays except Christmas eves and its ok.
We might head out for a little getaway a day or two, but I don't think will do much more.

Do you guys have any days off? Do you have big plans?

Gym music

Tonight I had a doctors appointment and he told me I could go back to the gym, but to take it easy.

I have to charge up my ipod with gym music that kicks ass.
I heard lots of good songs with a good beat on the radio the past year but don't know the names of any of them.
Please help me...the only song I know is When I grow up from The pussy cats girls.

What else should I download?

Great Sunday

Here is a resume of my great Sunday!

This morning I got up early and went to Walmart before it got insane.
Came back home and grabbed D to go out for a nice breakfast.
A little shopping at Canadien Tire and groceries.
Help the upstairs neighbor to bring down her stove.
Sealed off the windows in the living room for winter.
Smiled at the snow removal crew :)
Put some pork chops to cook in the oven with my mom's recipe.
Help the upstairs neighbor to bring up her new stove.
Watched the movie UP (It was very good)
Ate dinner and smiled at the snow removal crew again.
D called his parents and they are booking flights to come here in March.

We are about to make the Christmas tree and I am baking these fabulous Frosty the snowman cookies!
(they come in a pack of 24 but I got 26 :P)

How was your Sunday?

What's your average?

Each year I stack all my Christmas receipts in one place and by the end of the holidays I count how much I have spent. I keep every receipt from big gifts to small stocking gifts.

Every year I always give myself a budget of 400$ and I always go over, sometimes even double it. This year again I haven't bought all my gifts and I've already busted it :S

So approximately how much do you spend every year on Christmas gifts?

Holiday spirit

Tonight I got great news! We are spending Christmas at my aunts place! YAY!

I really wanted to go in D's family, but for budget reasons and because we went this summer we will not go. Christmas was heading toward a boring quick dinner and gift exchange all over by 11 pm. My aunt invited us and I was sure we wouldn't go because my mom doesn't like to go out, but she said yes!!!

Today we had a big snow storm and I had a feeling tonight would be the night were I would find my spirits and I did.

Mailed some gifts, got the news for Christmas eve at my aunts, ate very good brownies, going shopping again Saturday with a good friend, traffic was good after work, D helped shoveled my parking spot...Life is good.

Now I feel like doing my Christmas tree :) I am so happy.

Here is a picture I found that makes me smile when I think of snow:)

Habs game

Tonight we went to see our Montreal Canadiens play the Philadelphia Flyers.

And I also got to take a picture with my big furry friend Youppi :)
He is supposed to be our team mascot but in our hearts he will always be the mascot of our baseball team the Expo's.

We were with a friend of mine and her little boy it was his first game. He actually didnt want to come at first because he wanted to sleep at his grandma's like his sister, but he changed his mind pretty quick.

And we won!!!

Nordic spa

Today I went with friends (and my best friend) to a Nordic spa called Strom.

For those of you that don't know the concept of a Nordic spa here it is:
You expose your self to 15 minutes of intense heat, then dive into a freezing pool and then let your body relax for 15 minutes before starting all over again. It is very good for the blood flow and is very relaxing. Your body actually gets so hot that you barely feel the cold.

Here are a few pictures of my day :)

The very nice ladies looker room.

Dom underneath the freezing water fall.

Two amazing resting areas both with fireplaces, one indoor and one outdoor.

Me beside the hot waterfall.

Happy girls :)

It is open all-year-round even if it is minus 30 degrees outside with 2 feet of snow. Today wasn't bad it was only minus 6 degrees and no snow yet.

If you want to see the website and see all that they offer like massages, body wraps, healthy snack bar, ect... here is it Strom Spa

I had a fabulous day, how was yours?

PS Don't forget my giveaway Red or Green that ends Tuesday night.

First picture

Quick post.

I just wanted to introduce you to my (future) nephew Thomas at 20 weeks :)

Saturday's hot guy #8

Here is one of the local boys from our professional football team: Matthieu Proulx.

He is 28 and lives in Montreal. Even if he is a professional football player, he also manage to get his university completed and is also a lawyer. There is a little something about him that completely charms me.

Ladies I need ideas for next week or should I stop?
